Subject to approval by the Office of the Provost, the Economics Department anticipates one tenured or tenure
track opening for new faculty with strong records in research and teaching. Rank is open, dependent on
qualifications. Appointment will be made on an academic year basis. All fields are welcome, but Applied
Microtheory and Industrial Organization are high priority areas. Junior applications should be accompanied by
curriculum vita, at least one research paper, and at least three reference letters. Senior applications should be
accompanied by curriculum vita, examples of published research, and names of at least three references. All
candidates must have a demonstrated ability to do high quality research and a commitment to excellent
teaching. For senior applicants, a record of externally funded research will be viewed favorably. The search
will continue until the positions are filled. For most favorable consideration, applications from candidates with
degree in hand should be received by October 5, 2007; whereas junior applications should be received by
