The Department of Economics anticipates filling junior and/or senior openings beginning August 2008. We
welcome applications in all fields, although our priorities are in the fields listed above. Candidates at the rank
of Associate or Full Professor level must have attained international prominence in their field. Candidates at the
Assistant Professor level should have a Ph.D. already in hand, or firmly expected by August 2008, and should
show promise of significant scholarship and teaching ability. The University of Maryland is an Equal
