Z0 Political Economy; Public Policy
Harvard Business School is seeking candidates for tenure-track faculty positions in its Business, Government
and International Economy (BGIE) unit. We will consider candidates whose research interests and experience
include political economy, history of public policy, international economics, business-government relations, or
energy and environmental studies. Candidates may come directly from graduate school, or may have several
years of experience at other universities. Applicants for tenure track positions should have outstanding records
in Ph.D. or DBA programs, and a demonstrated potential for conducting research at the forefront of their fields.
Successful candidates will, at the outset, teach a required first-year MBA course on the economic, political and
social environment of global business. The School is particularly interested in applicants with interdisciplinary
interests and strong records of, or a potential for, excellence in teaching. Starting salaries will be highly
competitive. Applications must be received no later than November 21, 2007, and should include a curriculum
vitae, a description of research-in-progress, a brief writing sample (paper or chapter), a statement of teaching
interests and, if applicable, teaching experience. In addition, the School requires three letters of

The entrepreneurial management unit of the Harvard Business School is seeking candidates for a full-time
tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level starting in July of 2008. Applicants should have an
outstanding record in a Ph.D. or DBA program. We are interested in both new and recent graduates. The ideal
candidate will have the ability to do outstanding research with the potential to impact both academic and
managerial audiences. Candidates with formal training in economic or behavioral disciplines as well as inter-
disciplinary candidates are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong
quantitative methodological skills. The position entails case method teaching at the MBA and executive
