The Economics Division at Babson College is searching for an assistant professor to fill a tenure track position starting in September 2008. The recruiting committee will consider high quality candidates in all fields of economics, but is particularly interested in applicants specializing in International Trade/International Finance, and Applied Microeconomics. Candidates will be evaluated based on their potential for meaningful scholarship and publications in recognized refereed journals. Candidates must also have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and be ready to teach enthusiastically in an integrated, cross-disciplinary environment. Preference will be given to candidates with meaningful work experience, who can bring practical knowledge and understanding to the classroom. Ph.D. is required, though ABD with a firm completion date by Spring 2009 will also be considered. Applications should include a statement of research and teaching experience/philosophy, curriculum vitae, samples of research work, graduate transcripts, and three letters of reference. Incomplete packages will not be considered. Consideration of applications will begin immediately and the application deadline is December 1, 2007.
