Franco Modigliani Research Fellowship in Economics and Finance--Applications are invited for a Research Fellowship in Economics and Finance in memory of Franco Modigliani starting in October 2008. Applicants must have completed (or be about to complete) a Ph.D. in Economics or Finance in a non-Italian academic institution and plan to continue their research activity in Italy. The Fellow can choose to pursue his/her own research interests in any Economics department in an Italian university that has expressed willingness to host him/her. The Fellowship provides Ç 50,000 per year (before taxes), plus a refund of research expenses up to Ç 10,000 per year. Its overall duration is 4 years (2 years renewable). This position is for a fixed-term of between 2 and 4 years as it is replacing a current staff member while he is on a full-time research appointment. The term of the appointment is negotiable but the successful applicant must be available to start by mid-February 2008. The appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful applicantÆs qualifications and experience in accordance with the selection criteria for each level.
