The Discipline of Economics at The University of Sydney invites applications for a temporary full-time position
at the lecturer/senior lecturer level in any area of economics. This position is for a fixed-term of between 2 and
4 years as it is replacing a current staff member while he is on a full-time research appointment. The term of
the appointment is negotiable but the successful applicant must be available to start by mid-February 2008. The
appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful applicant's qualifications and experience in
accordance with the selection criteria for each level. At the lecturer level this would include a PhD at or near
completion, with some evidence of teaching and research publications potential. Appointment at the senior
lecturer level would require at least five years lecturing, teaching, supervision and research experience with
evidence of a growing international reputation. Applications must be submitted on-line. For more information
