Applications are invited for the posts of Assistant Professors at IFMR, Chennai, India. Individuals with PhDs in Economics and Finance (including those in the final year of their programs) with excellent research and academic records in the areas of Contract Theory, Development, Mathematical Finance, Corporate Finance, Banking, Operations Research, Statistics and Computational Finance, and a keen interest in research into issues relevant to India and other emerging markets are invited to apply. The annual all-inclusive compensation at the Assistant Professor level will be Rs. 12 lakhs (approximately USD 28,000). Chennai is not an expensive city to live in and on a PPP basis this would compare to a standard of living valued at approximately USD 90,000. Scholars with a substantial track record of publications and research in these areas are invited to apply for posts of Associate Professors and Professors.
