The Institute for Research on Sustainable Development and Social Equity (IIDSES), at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City invites applications for a Research Coordinator post in the environmental and sustainable development fields. The IIDSES is a research center recognized as a leading institution for research in Mexico and seeks to have influence in both the academic and public policies fields. The team of researchers of the IIDSES works through the departments of the University. The Institute channels research funds to develop proposals and carry out research. The work of the IIDSES is mostly empirical, and covers topics such as poverty and inequality, social policy, labor markets, microfinance, sustainable development, intergenerational equity, and public policy in general. The successful applicant will work in the areas of sustainable development, poverty, and inequality; he/she also will have to develop and expand the lines of research linked to sustainable development within the University and teach at least one class per semester. Also he/she needs to have an interest in multi-disciplinary research, skills with people, and experience coordinating research. Applicants should hold a PhD, and have excellent command of English and Spanish. Applicants should send a CV, relevant papers, and a research proposal for the program.
