The Department of Economics invites applications for a Chair in Microeconomics (ECO8) which will be vacant in September 2008. To fulfil the needs of the Department's structured PhD programme, candidates must have experience in graduate-level formal instruction and doctoral supervision as well as a strong academic publication record. Candidates should have an excellent research record in applied microeconomics. All fields will be considered. The successful candidate will teach in the microeconomics sequence of the Department.

The Department of Economics and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies seek applicants for a Joint Chair in Economics (ECO-RSC2), vacant in January 2008. Candidates should have a strong publication record in Economics journals and experience in the administration of research and other academic activities. To complement and strengthen the EUI's current research focus, the ideal candidate should have demonstrated his or her willingness and ability to study European policy issues for example in monetary policy, trade policy, regulation and competition or public finance.
