Assistant Professor of Economics--This is nine month, tenure-track, 60% research and 40% teaching appointment, to begin January 2008 at South Dakota State University to develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program in economics and/or agricultural economics. The successful applicant is expected to secure external funding to support his/her research program. Teaching responsibilities will include three to four graduate and undergraduate courses per academic year. Earned Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics, or a related field, with a declared field or emphasis in Econometrics and demonstrated communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a dissertation or other research work in econometrics; research record utilizing econometric techniques and demonstrated ability to complete interdisciplinary research; record of successful grant proposal writing and receipt of grant funds; and experience teaching economics, agricultural economics, or econometrics at university level.
