POMONA COLLEGE, Claremont, CA

Q5 Environmental Economics

Pomona College expects to make a full-time tenure-track appointment to begin in academic year 2008-09. We are interested in entry-level applicants who specialize in Environmental Economics. While appointed in the Economics Department, the new hire will also be an important contributor to the college's Environmental Analysis program. This individual is expected to have completed or be near completion of the Ph.D. degree. The teaching load is four semester-courses per year. Pomona College, the founding member of the Claremont Colleges, is an independent, coeducational liberal arts college in Southern California with an enrollment of 1500 students. We have thirteen economists, and another twenty-five within the other Claremont Colleges. Qualified, interested candidates should mail application materials to Michael Kuehlwein, Chair, c/o Marilynn Waters, Pomona College Department of Economics, 425 N. College Avenue, Room 211, Claremont, CA 91711; and include a letter of application, curriculum vitae, a sample of written work, and should arrange for forwarding of official transcripts and three letters of recommendation. A statement of one's teaching philosophy is useful but not required. We will review files beginning November 30, 2007. Pomona College is an equal opportunity employer.
