Subject to budgetary approval, the School of Economics has multiple openings with rank open. At the senior level, the School particularly invites applications from micro and game theorists with a strong research record and evidence of sponsored research. At the junior level, the School invites applications from IO, trade, and environmental economists and is particularly interested in applicants with a mix of applied theoretical and empirical skills. The School offers an undergraduate degree (including joint degrees with the Schools of International Affairs and Modern Languages), a Professional Master's degree, and expects to implement a PhD degree in Fall 2009. Georgia Tech is a Research I institution that provides significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as environmental and industrial engineering, international affairs, public policy, and management.
