Statistical Writer 2 — 07001362--Technical
Documentation. Description: This staff person will
write documentation for SAS (www.sas.com) Risk
Management software products. Duties to include:
developing illustrations and examples (from simple
programming to complex business applications);
designing documents and document collections for
target audiences; ability to demonstrate domain
knowledge for assigned product and/or market
areas; may also lead multi-writer teams for projects
of limited scope or intermediate complexity.
Qualifications--Essential: HS
(GED)/Assoc/Bachelor's degree in economics,
statistics, actuarial science, or other analytical field;
six/four/two years of professional experience as a
technical writer documenting software OR one year
of writing experience and two years of professional
experience in a field or in a technical or business
domain related to position. Additional: Good
project management, research, planning, and time
management skills; good knowledge of technical
writing principles, conventions, and document
processes; demonstrated ability to write clearly and
concisely and to apply rules of standard English;
demonstrated ability to design and organize original
documents. Ability to develop examples that
demonstrate understanding of software applications
and business domains appropriate to assignments;
ability to work effectively as a team member and
team leader. Preferences: Experience with SAS
Software programming; advanced degree in
Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Actuarial
Science, or other analytical field; experience
authoring with LaTeX; work experience in Risk
Management, Econometrics, or Actuarial Science.
