The Levy Economics Institute of Bard College invites applications for a Resident Research Scholar in the gender equality and the economy program. The scholar will collaborate with a team of economists on extending current research in this program area with an emphasis on gender and macroeconomics, gender and international economics, and gender and poverty. Given the nature of our research agenda, a wide variety of interests can be complementary. Subject to approval, the Institute is planning to launch a Ph.D. program in economics by Fall 2008 which will include courses in gender-aware economics. We are, therefore, especially interested in candidates who are able to make a contribution to the Ph.D. program. A completed Ph.D. is required, but candidates expecting the degree in the immediate future will also be considered. The successful candidate will have a background in macroeconomics, feminist economics and other heterodox approaches to economics, solid quantitative skills and a strong interest in policy issues. To apply, please submit letter of interest, current c.v., references, and sample papers to: Human Resources - 1707, Bard College, PO Box 5000, Annandale On Hudson, NY 12504 5000 or fax to 845 758 7826.
