Econ One is a consulting firm with offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Houston, Austin and Washington DC. We provide research, consulting and expert advice on microeconomic issues (primarily in litigation support). Econ One is often called upon to supply economic expertise for use in court cases or regulatory matters--particularly in the areas of antitrust, regulation, intellectual property, damages analysis and valuation. We are seeking experienced candidates with a Ph.D. in economics (or related field) with an emphasis in applications of microeconomic theory, industrial organization and/or econometrics and a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Verbal and presentation skills are critical--candidates must be able to clearly communicate economic concepts to business and legal professionals. Responsibilities include economic research and analysis, case management, report preparation and client presentations. This position offers a future opportunity to present expert witness testimony and for independent practice development.
