Bank of America seeks an economist to assist in
research and in drafting contributions to global and
Japanese publications, particularly those on the
Japanese economy, interest rates, the yen, and other
G10 currencies. In addition, the economist will
respond to client inquiries and work with bond and
currency trading and sales teams to help interpret
economic data releases and other financial market
developments. The position, located in Tokyo, will
report to the senior economist/strategist and be part
of the global macroeconomics/strategy team. Ideal
candidates will have an advanced degree in
economics, with a focus in macroeconomics and
completed course work in international economics
and statistics; knowledge of econometrics would
also be desirable. Fluency in Japanese and
proficiency English, both writing and speaking, is
required. Candidates with strong interpersonal
skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and
PC skills would also be preferred. Please send CV
