The Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim invites applications for a position as Assistant/Associate Professor for Applied Microeconomics (W2). We are seeking colleagues with primary research and teaching interest in Microeconomics. Our department has a long tradition in empirical work and is closely linked to the Center of European Economic Research (ZEW) situated next door. Additionally, our international ties are especially pronounced. Participation in the education of doctoral students in our graduate school, the Mannheim Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics, is required. Teaching can be entirely in English for at least two years. Salaries are competitive. The first appointment will be on the basis of a five years' contract. Applications should include a resume, at least two letters of recommendation and one recent research paper. Review of applications begins May 1 and the search continues until the position is filled. The Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim invites applications for a senior position as head of the Chair for Economics, especially International Macroeconomics (W3). We are seeking a colleague with primary research and teaching interest in Macroeconomics. Participation in the education of doctoral students in our graduate school, the Mannheim Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics, is encouraged. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. and should have an established academic record. In case of a first appointment as Professor, the position will first be on a temporary contract. Exemptions are possible, especially if the successful candidate is from a foreign country or is currently working outside of academia.
