The Department of Economics at Suffolk University invites applications for a one-year visiting appointment for the academic year 2007-2008. Suffolk University is a private, comprehensive, urban university located on historic Beacon Hill in Boston. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics, or expect to complete the Ph.D. by September, 2007, and must be committed to excellence in teaching and provide evidence of demonstrated achievement or significant promise in scholarship. The teaching load is two courses per semester. The successful candidate will teach the first course in a two-course Ph.D. econometrics core sequence; a Master's-level applied time series course; and two sections of undergraduate statistics. Preference will be given to candidates with an applied research focus. Exceptional candidates may be considered for a long-term position, at a rank to be determined, and subject to budgetary authorization.
