The UCLA Anderson Forecast, a research center of the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, seeks to hire a full-time research/teaching economist. This is a non-tenure track position with a two-year contract, with possible renewal. Researchers contribute to the ongoing work performed by the center to create economic outlooks for the nation, California, and a variety of local regions. Research includes policy analysis along with econometric modeling. Independent research is strongly encouraged. Academic teaching is optional. Preference will be given to applicants with academic or other professional research experience, but applications from new Ph.D.s will be considered. The position requires production of high-level analysis for presentation forecast conferences and publications to a diverse audience including academicians, business people and government policymakers. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essentials.
