CSWEP Board Member - Kevin Lang

Kevin LangKevin Lang is a Professor of Economics at Boston University, a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor (Bonn) and of the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (University College, London) and a Fellow of the Center for the Study of Poverty and Inequality (Stanford University). He is an elected Fellow of the Society of Labor Economists and co-editor of Labour Economics, the journal of the European Association of Labour Economists, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Canadian Employment Research Forum. His work spans theoretical and empirical research on labor and education economics, including discrimination, poverty, immigration and language issues. He spent a month or more at each of the National Bureau of Economic Research (Olin Foundation Fellowship), New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (Fulbright Fellowship), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (visiting professor), Collegio Carlo Alberto (visiting fellow), University of New South Wales (visiting scholar) and University College, London (visiting scholar). He has been the recipient of a Sloan Foundation Faculty Research Fellowship. Before joining BU, he was on the faculty of the University of California, Irvine. He received his BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from Oxford University, his MSc in economics from the University of Montreal, and his PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. http://people.bu.edu/lang
