Lisa Saunders
Lisa Saunders is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor of science in business administration from Old Dominion University. Lisa’s research fields are labor and transportation economics. She is currently investigating how constraints on employment, hours and earnings for urban workers vary by race, gender and income. Other topics she is investigating include retention strategies for women and students of color in economics education; and how wage differentials between members of same and different sex couples vary according to individual and family characteristics.
