The American Economic Review: Information for Reviewers


To submit your report, log in to your Manuscript Central account http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/aer. Go to your "Reviewer Center" and follow the instructions to submit your report.

As the AER is a double blind review, we kindly ask you not to use your name in the body or filename of your report.

All manuscript submissions are now accompanied by Disclosure Statements prepared by the author(s). However, recommendations should not be based on whether potential conflicts of interest exist, but on whether the conclusions are robust, credible, and worthy of publication.

The AER pays $100.00 for timely reports. Payment is by check only. Checks are issued four times a year, approximately six weeks after the end of each calendar quarter.
