American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics: SubmissionsSubmission PolicyAny paper submitted to the AEJ: Macroeconomics should NOT be under consideration for publication at another journal. All submitted papers must also represent original work, and should fully reference and describe all prior work on the same subject and compare the submitted paper to that work. Submission fees must be paid by credit card at the time of submission. We are unable to review manuscripts that have been previously rejected by the AEJ: Macroeconomics. The AEJ: Macroeconomics reserves the right to reject papers without review. Source information for tables, figures, maps, photos, and other artwork should be mentioned in the captions. For material that is copyrighted, you must obtain a letter of permission from the copyright holder. In the US, Canada, EU countries, and Japan, copyright is automatically granted for photos to the owner(s) of the photos. Submission FeesAEA members pay only $100, so join the AEA now and save! Submission InstructionsPapers should be submitted electronically to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/aej-macroUpon receipt of the paper, a confirmation email will be sent electronically. The submission is not complete if a confirmation email has not been received. When preparing your materials for submission, please keep in mind that this journal is printed in black and white; color materials must be translated to grayscale before publication.

American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics Issues and Articles Tools eTOC Alert for AEJ: Macroeconomics In the News! Steve Davis is quoted in an Associated Press article on the pressures workers face as the threat of layoffs looms. Paul Krugman writes about research done by Board of Editor Thomas Philippon in the New York Times. Announcements! AEJ: Macroeconomics will publish twice in 2009 (January, July) and quarterly thereafter (January, April, July, October). New Editorial Team at the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. Steven J. Davis is the new Editor of the Journal, and John Leahy is the new Coeditor. The Journal will continue to focus on studies of aggregate fluctuations and growth, and the role of policy in that context. Such studies often borrow from and interact with research in other fields, such as monetary theory, industrial organization, finance, labor economics, public finance, international economics and development economics. To the extent that they make a contribution to macroeconomics, the Journal welcomes papers in these fields. John Leahy joins the Indian School of Business as a Visiting Scholar. The Economist names AEJ Macro Board of Editor Iván Werning one of eight best young economists. The magazine asked leading authorities to make their recommendations and Werning was the macroeconomist nominated most often for the list. President Barack Obama names AEJ: Macroeconomics Board of Editor Christina D. Romer Chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers. NY Times article V. V.
