Paul Krugman writes about research done by Board of Editor Thomas Philippon in the New York Times. Announcements! AEJ: Macroeconomics publishes quarterly (January, April, July, October). New Editorial Team at the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. Steven J. Davis is the new Editor of the Journal, and John Leahy is the new Coeditor. The Journal will continue to focus on studies of aggregate fluctuations and growth, and the role of policy in that context. Such studies often borrow from and interact with research in other fields, such as monetary theory, industrial organization, finance, labor economics, public finance, international economics and development economics. To the extent that they make a contribution to macroeconomics, the Journal welcomes papers in these fields. John Leahy joins the Indian School of Business as a Visiting Scholar. The Economist names AEJ Macro Board of Editor Iván Werning one of eight best young economists. The magazine asked leading authorities to make their recommendations and Werning was the macroeconomist nominated most often for the list.
