American Rehabilitation Economics Association
This national organization is comprised of forensic experts
who are responsible for determining the nature and extent
of a loss of earnings or earning potential to a Plaintiff,
most often in personal injury cases. At present, "the AREA is
the only national certifying body that has the unique blend of
vocational and economic loss assessment as its primary
emphasis." The organization sponsors an annual conference to
provide continuing education in this field. The AREA also
publishes an annual publication, "The Earnings Analyst," which
is included in the membership fee.
