Subject:This event invites heads of internal audit departments in central banks to question, develop and deepen their understanding of the internal audit departments role and to share successful practices and experience with peers. The event will have a number of themes, although the final content will be determined from participants main interests. Possible discussion topics are: the scope of internal audit - how should the analytical areas be audited?; consultancy and relationships with management - should internal auditors ever act as consultants and how are disagreements with management resolved?; integrating IT and business auditing - has internal audit met this challenge or not?; smart auditing - avoiding a tick box approach; maintaining a risk-based approach in a fast-moving environment - responding to crisis resolutions such as the audit of temporary liquidity schemes; and to what extent should heads of internal audit in central banks be trying to influence the broader profession?.
