|Subject:||This event will cover both theoretical and empirical analyses of the functioning of the international monetary system, and the event director is soliciting paper submissions from participants that cover, but are not limited to, the following topics: the interplay between domestic policy frameworks and the international monetary system; the role of rules of the games and the trade-off between interventions by supranational authorities and market-based adjustments; the emergence of new stakeholders in the international monetary system and the consequences of operating and co-ordinating a more multipolar world; suggestions for providing international liquidity; the international role of the US dollar as a reserve currency and proposals to facilitate global reserves adjustment; the role of exchange rate regimes and capital flows; and the role of private capital markets in the international monetary system.
