|Description:||SIBCM - Strategic issues in business continuity management|
|Location:||London, United Kingdom|
|Subject:||The financial crisis has made central bankers question how business continuity management should develop, especially in relation to two questions: what are the new threats to business continuity and what can we learn from the management of the recent financial crisis? This interactive workshop considers some of the strategic issues relevant to business continuity in central banks, and gives participants the opportunity to share and discuss the tools and techniques they have recently adopted. The following themes are likely to be covered: where, in a central banks organisational structure, is the best place for business continuity and crisis management? what are the current threats business continuity managers need to be aware of, and how can central banks mitigate these? what investment should be made to deal with the very low likelihood but very high impact risks? and can we increase resilience using tools and techniques developed for both business continuity management and financial crisis management?
