| Subject: | Due to its near-coastal location, the trade and business in the city of Bremen are characterized by strong maritime influences. The field of logistics is well developed and represents a core business of the center of Northwest Germany. In the last decades political, social and economic changes led to new challenges in this business. To emphasize the importance of innovations in these fields, we define two special interest sections Logistics and New Maritime Businesses in addition to the regular sections. We invite all researchers and practitioners to present their ideas how Operations Research can be used to manage these new challenges.
